Shiko, pronounced Shee-ko, means fire in navaho. Shiko is full of drive, very easy to work with and extremely gentle. He has non stop energy out side and a stop button for inside. He loves the water and loves retrieving birds. We have only had him on ducks, geese and grouse, no pheasant or quail. Shiko is Liver, white and tan. His dam is liver and white and from a kennel in South Dakota, his father is 'Shadow' who is black and white, and belongs to our brother.

The 2011 hunting season was a huge success for Ranger. Ranger has preformed well over 100 retrieves through the mud around ice bergs and across the river to the land on the other side! Both blind and marked retrieves. He even showed his skills for changing gears, out of the duck boat from duck hunting to hitting the tall grass and flushing a covey of huns! I just wish I was able to switch gears the same....I only harvested one of them.

Indy has proven to be a great swimmer! He had a great season with Ranger, we still have a bit of hand signal work to do with him. His skills for finding downed birds in the brush is incredible, he has the wind figured out and knows what he is looking for.
Indy is truly a love! he is a dream in the house, loves to be with us and has no problem turning on when its time to go hunting.
He is working awesome with his brother Ranger as they tag team the birds. Beautiful sight to see.
We have recently started Indy on antlers
